What makeup can male goths/heavy metal fans wear?

im a 19 year old male and im just starting to be goth/heavy metal fan and want to know if male goths/heavy metal fans can wear makeup in public, if so what can they wear.What makeup can male goths/heavy metal fans wear?
Well...first, are you sure you want this? There is a lot of different between being Goth and being Heavy Metal...the latter just look good without the substance of the first.





Regardless, I recommend a good quality liquid black eyeliner. You can find that at most shops. MaxFactor is good. Avoid Hot Topic and such. If you want, StarGazer aren't too bad. They do nice colours.





For a paler face, use foundation and powder. Avoid white, go for translucent, and use a foundation that is one shade paler than you are. If you are pale already, no problem. If not, avoid the sun, use sunblock, and you will have the right skintone within a year.

make sure you don't overdo it because you'll just look emo. you can use black eyeliner to line the inner rims of your eyes (closest to your eyeball, on the inside) for the day, or in public. If you're going to a concert and want a dramatic look you can take black eyeshadow and with a skinny and pointed applicator line the outside of your eyes for the dead zombie look. make sure you blend with your fingers. also, you can do the crow thing and put little vertical lines in the middle of your eyelids with black eyeliner. you can also use black nail polish, but make sure that after they dry to bang your nails around so the polish chips. if its not chipped it looks kind of girly. hope this helps!

black eyeliner for day go the whole works for gigs-white/blackeyeshadow,eyeliner. probably not mascara. pencil in your eyebrows black .

I used to date a black goth. He wore whatever he liked. I did not mind the eyeliner or even dark mascara on a brave day wear a little eyecolor brave meaning you are going to a club or a concert. Be ready to fight though because many people feel that they also have a right to make you feel bad about your individuality. He did come outside one day and I was thinking .... WTF. He looked like a black clown. HORRIBLE! I did say something to him. Make sure you do whatever you choose nicely. Answer back any taunting with ';I am confident enough to be who I want.
You wear exactly what you want to, its entirely up to you, there are no rules. Get some black eyeliner that would be a start xx

whatever takes your fancy, watch some music videos take note of some colours and ideas you like then mimic them. Its all about trying new things have fun with it

rebel. sold at hot topic. red eyeshadow, black eyeshadow, eyeliner. black lipstick pushes it to cliche unless you can totally pull it off(most people dont except for deadstar assembly). red and black are the primary colors. the makeup looks hotter if you dye your hair too. :)
I was under the impression Goth is nothing like heavy metal and as far as wearing makeup, even in public was not a concern. Especially when the general idea is to look as different as possible from society, non-conformity ya know. Think you are asking a question you know the answer to allready if truly Goth or heavy metal - whatever you want to, or what your mother wears. Good Luck!!
Well to me goth and heavy metal appearances are both different, despite some people think they are the same thing,





Heavy metal is opposite of goth as far as makeup is concerned, cause heavy metal is all about just totally ******* rocking out, and is anti-glam metal, not giving a **** about how you look :p. (Traditionally anyway)





If you are going for gothic look, then black eyeliner, black nail varnish, black lipstick ? and mabye pale face powder,


and alternative to black.......dark blues or dark reds can also be added into the mix

If you go to festivals etc you often see people go even further than that...however you dont have to look a certain way to enjoy the music! Just be who you are and feel comfortbale being you!
You don't have to be goth and wear nasty make-up to rock out to metal.





Metalheads love me. And I worked at A%26amp;F. I am so turned off by goth style make-up on men. If you want to look metal... build some muscle and wear tight black band tees and good jeans. Tattoos and some piercings are helpful. And please don't spike up your hair with Elmer's Glue or anything. Hygiene is also good. Eyeliner doesn't hurt... anything more is repulsive.





Look up to the guys from Children of Bodom, and other guys like... Nikki Sixx, CC Deville, David Draiman... and even Tommy Lee. All these guys are metal and insanely attractive.





If you do the whole Hot Topic Couture thing, you're only going to score with fat, pasty, pimply white goth chicks
Eyeliner is so hot on guys if they have the right face for it, i'm thinking Gerard Way possibly Brandon Flowers before the whole moustache disaster. Just stick to eyeliner because too much make up will just freak girls out and anybody else for that matter. don't start with the whole foundation and lipgloss thing cos that would be a little too weird for me to handle and i am seriously weird.
